Hi, welcome to my website.

My name is Jan Hurcombe and I am a small hobby breeder of British Shorthair Asian & Burmilla cats. I live on the south coast, in Southampton, Hampshire.

“Bluebumble” is my GCCF registered prefix. The name “Bumble” comes from our very first pedigree cat, a Blue Persian, “Shayfew Blue Bumble” who sadly died in 2005, aged nearly 17.

Our breeding queens are “Advish Phoebi Cassinia” (Phoebe) a Blue British Shorthair, Araboth Tiffany (Alfie) a silver black-ticked tabby Asian and Araboth Recoupe Rose (Rose) a silver brown-shaded Burmilla. They have only one litter each per year. They are our much loved pets first, and breeding comes second.

As well as our 3 breeding queens, we also have 3 lovely pet neuters: “Elzanta Mabledon Solo” (Minnie), a Blue Tortie Spotted British Shorthair, Advish Varinia” (Molly) a gorgeous Black British Shorthair, and Kennbury Clarissant (Jasmin) a chocolate Burmese, recently neutered after giving birth to a lovely litter in August 2007. We hope to breed Burmese again one day in the future. Please see our Gallery for pictures of all our cats and kittens.

Life is never boring with these delightful breeds around, bringing so much pleasure to our lives.

All our cats are “indoor” cats, although when we are home, they are allowed to play in our secure garden, which they love.

I am a member of The Southern British Shorthair Club, The Burmese Cat Club, The Asian Cat Club, Southern Counties Cat Club, The Three Counties Cat Society and The Wessex Cat Club and The International Asian Group Breed Club.
